PFMS — Server Deployment Guide

1. System Prep

libpango-1.0-0 libpangoft2-1.0-0 libharfbuzz0b \
libffi-dev libjpeg-dev libopenjp2-7-dev
libpango*and related libs are required by WeasyPrint for PDF generation.
2. Create App User

3. MySQL Setup

6. Initialize Database

9a. SSL — Certbot (Let's Encrypt)

Certbot automatically:
- Populates the
ssl_certificatelines in the Nginx config - Sets up HTTP → HTTPS redirect
- Installs a systemd timer for auto-renewal

10. Groq API Setup (Free AI)
No local installation needed. Groq runs in the cloud — just get a free API key.
10.1 Get API Key
- Sign up at https://console.groq.com
- Go to API Keys → Create API key
- Copy the key into
/home/pfm/app/.envasGROQ_API_KEY
10.2 Free Tier Limits

Store MySQL credentials securely for the backup job:

Keep last 30 days. Add a cleanup cron to delete older files:

14. Firewall (UFW)

MySQL (3306) is NOT opened — internal only. Groq calls go outbound over HTTPS (port 443).
15. Deploy Update Workflow
